The internet started buzzing this week over Harry Potter star’s new mystery girl. Paparazzi caught the actor holding hands with a mystery girl earlier this week. No one seemed to be able to identify the young brunette for days.

Now, E! online revealed that the girl that has Radcliffe smitten is Rosanne Coker — although everyone seems to call her Rose.

Ms. Coker is 22 years old and a painter. Her father owns a painting and decorating business and her mother designs birthday cards. They reside in Surry, England. Also, the girl is an avid painter.

Coker’s family seems to approve of the actor dating their daughter. Her father told reporters “No other parent would ask any more. I know it’s not a normal life they live. But they have a lot of fun together and, at their age, what more could you ask?

The couple met on the set of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince in 2007 when Coker worked as a production assistant. She worked on the last two Potter films, as well as Radcliffe’s new film The Woman in Black as a production assistant.

Rob’s former co-star looks back on their ‘Harry Potter’ days

Daniel Radcliffe paid a visit to Access Hollywood Live on Aug. 19, and as always, it didn’t take long for the conversation to turn to his Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire co-star Robert Pattinson! ”He’s had to deal with a lot,” Daniel said, discussing people’s obsession with Rob. “[As soon as the Twilight movies came out] Robert was suddenly the most famous guy in the world.”

But don’t expect to catch the world-famous wizards hanging out anytime soon.

“We worked together on the fourth [Harry Potter] film, but I haven’t seen him since any of the Twilight movies,” Daniel admitted. “It’s lovely to see anyone from the franchise doing other things and becoming successful, but we haven’t had any contact.”

Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe is
reportedly ready to ask his secret girlfriend to marry him.

The Woman In Black star, who has been dating
production assistant Rosanne Coker in secret for the past year after meeting on
the set of ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’ in 2007, is allegedly trying
to conjure up the courage to propose to her.

Rosanne, 22, and Daniel are said to have a lot
of fun together and have already met each others prospective
in-laws.

Muggles in love: Daniel Radcliffe and his girlfriend Rosanne Coker spend some quality time in New York earlier this week

Rosanne’s father Malcolm – who runs his own
painting business – said he was thrilled with the romance because Daniel is a
‘lovely’ guy.

He told the Daily Mail: ‘I don’t want to say
too much really as they would really prefer to keep things
quiet.

‘But Rosanne has worked on the last three
‘Harry Potter’ films, so she and Daniel have known each other quite a long time.

‘But they have been going out for just over a
year now. I have met Daniel and he is a lovely guy.

‘I’m just really happy for Rosanne and as long
as she is happy that is all that matters to me.’

According to the Sun, film chiefs worried
about 22-year-old Daniel’s image as a clean-cut school boy wizard and forced him
to keep his relationship quiet until the final Harry Potter film was
done.

Daniel has previously dated Irish actress
Laura O’Toole and was recently linked to Olive
Uniacke.

Emma Watson Takes It Off, Then Covers Up – with a Puppy | Emma Watsonhttp://www.peoplepets.com/people/pets/article/0,,20518728,00.html

After shedding her long-running role as Hermione in the Harry Potter franchise, Emma Watson has chopped off her long locks, embraced her inner fashionista – and now, she’s even gone nude. Sort of.

For the August issue of i-D magazine, the actress bared almost all, posing in a sunny garden wearing nothing but a pearly collar and shimmering gold jacket. While the photo hints at what lies beneath, Watson coyly covered up with the help of a strategically placed Yorkshire terrier.

The dog, dangled over Watson’s lap, looks less than pleased with the job at hand, but appears to have acted professionally in spite of it all.

It takes a very special kind of girl to catch the eye of Harry Potter. Just ask Ginny Weasley.

Daniel Radcliffe surprised fans recently when he mentioned his girlfriend, who he says he is “very much in love with” — but he kept her identity a secret, until now. Daily Mail reveals that DanRad’s lady is Roseanne Coker, a painter who worked as a production assistant on “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” in 2007.

The 22-year-old is a painter who continued to work on the “Harry Potter” films with Radcliffe, and was involved behind the scenes in his upcoming movie “The Woman in Black.” Coker lives with her parents in Surrey, England, but splits her time between their home and Radcliffe’s apartment in New York, where he is still performing in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”

They’ve been together for at least a year.

Daniel Radcliffe, Girlfriendhttp://www.eonline.com/news/five_things_weve_learned_about_daniel/259055

After photos of Daniel Radcliffe and his new lady in strolling the streets in New York  City hit the Internet, all we wanted to know was who is she?!

And now we have some answers!

So if you’re dying to know who this pretty brunette (who can pull off wearing  leggings with flip-flops quite well) in lavender is…here you go:

MORE: Daniel Radcliffe Debuts Mystery Girlfriend in  NYC

1. She Has a Name: We can finally identify the 22-year-old  by something other than her hair color or wardrobe. She is Rosanne  Coker, but friends call her Rose.

2. Potter Love: It would be weird if Radcliffe  dated a girl that wasn’t into Harry Potter (well, we think it would  be), but that isn’t an issue here. The duo met on the set of Harry Potter  and the Half-Blood Prince in 2007 when Coker worked as a production’s  assistant. And that was just the beginning. Radcliffe and Coker also worked on  the last two H.P. films together and his latest project, The Woman in Black.

3. Creative Genes: Rose’s father is the owner of a painting  and decorating business, while her mother designs birthday cards. And the apple  doesn’t fall from the tree, because Miss Coker is a painter herself!

4. Travel Bug: Since the beginning of their relationship a  year ago, the actor’s love interest has been splitting her time between his NYC  apartment and her family’s close-to $660,000 home in Surrey, England.

5. Daddy Approves: Danny boy has already met the family, but  don’t rush off thinking there’s a wedding in store. However, if there was, he’d  get Mr. Coker’s blessing. “I have met Daniel and he is a lovely guy. I’m just  really happy for Rosanne and as long as she is happy that is all that matters to  me,” he tells the Daily Mail. “No other parent would ask any more. I  know it’s not a normal life they live. But they have a lot of fun together and  at their age, what more could you ask? Who knows where it is going to lead?”

Who Is Daniel Radcliffe's New Girlfriend?http://movies.yahoo.com/news/daniel-radcliffes-girlfriend-180736794.html?nc

Harry Potter and the Mysterious New Girlfriend!

On Wednesday, Daniel Radcliffe was photographed in NYC taking a stroll — holding hands with a pretty young brunette.

PHOTOS: How the Harry Potter stars have grown up

So far, the identity of his new gal pal (wearing a loose purple tank top and leggings with her hair held back) has not yet been divulged.

The rather private Harry Potter star, 22, left a clue about a new love in his life during a July interview with Larry King on CNN. “I’ve got a girlfriend at the moment, who I am very much in love with,” the British star teased. “So, you know, we’ll see where that goes.”

Last summer, Radcliffe was said to be dating Olive Uniacke — the stepdaughter of a Harry Potter saga producer.

What kind of woman does Radcliffe favor? “Girls my own age are not really an option,” he said in 2009. “I find, generally speaking, they have to be entertained more than older girls do.”

LONDON (AP) — For years, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and her family had honored a French ancestor who they believed was a World War I war hero.

But the best-selling author has now discovered that her family had been mistaken about the true identity of her great-grandfather.

Rowling, 46, has recorded a television program with the BBC that shows her coming to terms with the revelation that her family had confused Louis Volant, a war hero awarded with the Legion d’honneur for his bravery during the Battle of Verdun, with her real great-grandfather, who had the same name and also fought for France.

Rowling told the BBC magazine published Tuesday Radio Times that the experience was an upsetting and emotional one. She said taking part in her genealogy research made her so emotional that she cried several times.

“There were a lot of big surprises, some wonderful, and one rather upsetting,” she said in an interview.

“However, I went into the program wanting the truth, no matter what it was, because I knew so little about my French ancestry, and I don’t regret a moment of it. I loved the whole experience,” she added.

When Rowling was awarded the Legion d’honneur for her services to literature in 2009, she described her pride being the second winner of the honor in the family, and how her accomplishments could not compare to the bravery of her ancestor and men like him.

She said that she has undertook the project because her mother Anne Volant, who died in 1990, was very interested in her French roots but never got the chance to explore them.

“A huge motivation in looking into my family history is my mother. It’s very much bound up in that loss,” she said.

The BBC show, called “Who Do You Think You Are?” will be broadcast later this month.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Harry Potter has joined the billion-dollar club.

Distributor Warner Bros. said Sunday that “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” crossed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. It’s soon expected to pass “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” which is this year’s top grossing movie at $1.03 billion.

The last of the eight films about the young wizard is the first in the franchise to reach the billion dollar mark. The previous best global haul was $974.8 million for the original film, 2001’s “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”

With $21.9 million domestically this weekend, “Deathly Hallows: Part 2” climbed to a domestic total of $318.5 million. That tops the franchise’s previous best of $317.6 million for “Sorcerer’s Stone.”

But factoring in today’s higher admission prices, “Deathly Hallows: Part 2” has not caught up to “Sorcerer’s Stone” in terms of actual tickets sold.

The 2009 film “Avatar” holds the record for the biggest worldwide box office haul, grossing $2.8 billion. It’s followed by another James Cameron film, “Titanic,” which brought in $1.8 billion.

http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk/1st-worst-harry-potter-posts-biggest-2nd-week-234546612.html

Coming off the biggest box-office opening ever, the eighth and final Harry Potter movie just experienced the biggest second-weekend decline of all time for any blockbuster.

The Warner Bros. film declined 72 percent from its record $169.2 million domestic opening to just $47.4 million.

Plenty of films have experienced bigger percentage drops in their second weekends of release, but none of them were in the elite blockbuster class of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2.”

In fact, among the 36 films that experienced bigger percentage drops than “Deathly Hallows, Part 2” in weekend No. 2, only three films opened to more than $20 million, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com.

And only one film on that list, Warner’s 2009 reboot of “Friday the 13th,” managed to crack the $40 million mark (it opened to $40.6 million).

Among blockbusters with domestic openings over $100 million, only one film, Summit Entertainment’s “Twilight Saga: New Moon,” which dropped 70 percent, has a weekend-to-weekend decline in the same league.

Avid fan support, which causes pent-up demand to be released in a big opening-weekend rush, factors in here.

Like the Potter films, the Twilight saga is book-driven and usually features a big midnight performance on each installment’s first day in theaters.

But even for the Potter franchise, 72 percent is big. At 62.7 percent, 2004’s “Prisoner of Azkaban” was the series’ previous biggest weekend-two decliner; 2001’s “Sorcerer’s Stone” dropped just 36.3 percent.

Alarm bells, however, are hardly going off at the Warner Bros. studio lot in Burbank, Calif.

“Deathly Hallows, Part 2” has grossed $560.4 million so far internationally. And with $833.9 million in the bank so far, the film is still on pace to be the only movie in the Potter series to break the $1 billion barrier globally.
