it’s been to long

Hey people! It’s been too long since I’ve actually done a blog so I thought I would feel ya’ll in to what’s going on in Aprilslife. College has started. It’s been pretty busy with helping Steven apply for college and the actives we’re involved in. This year I’m involved in SGA (student government). That has been fun! ūüôā I’ve never been involved in SGA before so this is all new to me, but so far it has been great. I’ve gotten involved with Wesley this year. I involved in Wesley last year but not as well as I should have been. Sadly, I can’t attended BSU (Baptist Student Union) due to classes. We, also, taken year book photos a few weeks back. Between classes, Wesley, and SGA things have been pretty crazy. But, it’s all good though. lol

(online classes you take them earlier) I’ll be studying a lot over the next couple of days. I have already register for my next semester classes. I’m not taking an online class this time. Mission fuge sigh up has started. I’m not sure if I’m going this year are not. Other than all that there really isn’t much going on. So I hope y’all enjoyed this blog.¬† Please comment and like and don’t forget to subscribe. ūüôā

Isaiah 10:1-4

Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue, oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. what will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches? Nothing will remain but to cringe  among the captives or fall among the slain. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised.

Isaiah10:1-4

The Parable of the Ten Virgins.

“At the time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. The bridegroom was a long time coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep. At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out an meet him!’ Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, g to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’ But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins whi were ready wnet in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut. Later the others also came. ‘Sir! Sir’ they said. ‘Open the door for us!’¬† But he replied, ‘I tell you the truth, I don’t know you.’ Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.”

Matthew 25:1-13

Matthew 23:37-40

Jesus replied, ” ‘ Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’¬† This is the first and greastest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your meighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Matthew 23:37-40

Ace Young and Diana Degarmo attend the 20th Annual Movieguide Faith & Values Awards Gala at Universal Hilton Hotel on February 10, 2012 in Universal City, California.http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/diana-degarmo-and-ace-young-how-they-fell-in-love-2012245

Unlike most reality show romances, this one’s got staying power.

In April, American Idol alumna Diana DeGarmo opened  up to Yahoo Music about her longterm romance with fellow former  contestant Ace Young, who placed seventh in Season 5.

The pair first crossed paths when they appeared together in a 2010 revival of Hair on Broadway, and quickly bonded over their experience on the  reality show.

“We played with the idea [of dating] when we first met,” DeGarmo shared.¬† “[But] we were friends, first and foremost..We had both been through ‘Idol,’¬† which is such a unique and life-changing experience, and we just truly¬† bonded.”

To couch it in Idol terms, they didn’t, “go through to Hollywood [right¬† away],” DeGarmo, 24, joked. But now? Gushed the star, “We are best friends! I¬† truly believe us having been through ‘Idol’ is one of the big reasons as to why¬† we understand each other so well; unless you go through it, you don’t get¬† it.”

Given their shared Idol history, the reality show stage served as¬† the perfect setting for Young to make it official with his love. In a¬† scene-stealing moment during American Idol‘s Wednesday finale, the¬† crooner got down on one knee and proposed to the season three runner-up.

“This has always been home to us and I felt that this would be the perfect¬† place to ask a simple question,” Young told a shocked, and tearful, DeGarmo. “We¬† have conquered Broadway together. We have created our new music together. We¬† have an amazing group of people around us. . .I love you to death. You’re my¬† best friend. I want to make this last forever. . . Diana Nicole DeGarmo, will¬† you marry me?”

Legal counsel for both Adam Lambert and Colwel Platinum Entertainment are still very much engaged in negotiations to settle a November lawsuit, despite early reports from celebrity gossip sites.

The lawsuit, filed by the company headed up by Lambert’s pre-Idol producer Malcolm Welsford, was¬†initially to be answered by Jan. 3, 2012. Lambert’s legal representation negotiated a delay to push the response off to Jan. 17. When the date passed,¬†lalate.com¬†reported that¬†the deal fell through and the case would go to jury trial.

Not so, clarifies a source close to the case. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the source had this to say:

“The lalate.com article seems to have jumped the gun on Colwel v. Lambert, probably watching the court docket for any tidbit on celebrity cases. A settlement agreement is still actively¬†being ironed out by both parties, and news will definitely be released when it is finalized.”¬†¬†
