it’s been to long

Hey people! It’s been too long since I’ve actually done a blog so I thought I would feel ya’ll in to what’s going on in Aprilslife. College has started. It’s been pretty busy with helping Steven apply for college and the actives we’re involved in. This year I’m involved in SGA (student government). That has been fun! ūüôā I’ve never been involved in SGA before so this is all new to me, but so far it has been great. I’ve gotten involved with Wesley this year. I involved in Wesley last year but not as well as I should have been. Sadly, I can’t attended BSU (Baptist Student Union) due to classes. We, also, taken year book photos a few weeks back. Between classes, Wesley, and SGA things have been pretty crazy. But, it’s all good though. lol

As you can tell from the title I’m going to talk about online classes and why I’m not going to take them again. When I first signed up for my classes I found out that the only way I could take one of my classes, which just so happened to be my major, is if I sign up for the online class. What I didn’t know was how stressful taking an online class would be for me. I would drop the class, but I can’t now and I like seeing things through to the end. The one good thing about online classes, however, is that you don’t take many tests,¬†which is good. The bad thing about¬†tests though you have to schedule¬†to¬†a certain time to take it with in a certain time, and if you don’t schedule¬†it¬†soon enough you may not be able to take it where you want to take it. Like me for example¬†I wanted to take¬†my test at the campus I’m at but I couldn’t because I didn’t schedule¬†my test soon enough and I had to go to a different campus just to take the test.¬† My¬†advice to all of you who is thinking about taking an online class is that you should consider is it really for you. Do you get stressed easy or do you prefer face to face interaction? Because if you do then online classes aren’t for you.¬†Just take whatever classes feel comfortable to you and enough your time in college because it’ll fly by fast.

the school year is almost over

Hey everyone! So it’s almost that time of the year again. The end of the school year. It’s a relief that it’s about to end, but bittersweet in away.¬† Mostly because this is my last year of high school and the fact that I really didn’t much during my four years of high school. I know that many of you will think that it’s weird for me to say that, but it’s the truth. I know I should be happy and everything, but a part of me feels kindof sad to be leaving.¬† I have many wonderful memories that I know I’ll remember for the rest of my life, and I’vwe made many friends that I’ll miss.(most of them are underclassmen).¬†But, I know that everything will be ok. I start college in August with a couple of friends and I know that’ll be fun. I’ll keep ya’ll post on more senior stuff and I’ll possible do a series on college life. Later!

Prom

So last night was prom. After months of waiting it finally arrived. Had everything ready. Got my hair and nails done, pick up my order at the flower shop, and finally it was time for prom. My date looked great in his tuxedo and I had the pretty dress ever on. Me and my date danced to almost every song played. One of my friends had a blast on the dance floor. Before prom I wasn’t sure about my hair appointment, because it had to be rescheduled. But other than that everything thing went perfectly. The¬†king and queen was Guy and Shelby which was nice. The food was great. The decorations were awesome. Many of the dresses I saw were pretty.(even though some of them were what you would expect Barbie or a ballerina to wear)lol I had a great time and I knoww I’ll nev er forget last night.

Senior Prom

So,¬†anyways prom is coming up in April. This is the first dance I’ll be going to and I’m little nervous. I just don’t know what to expect. I just hope that I don’t trip and fall on my face on the dance floor and that the movie Carrie is after all a movie. lol So, it’s your turn tell me what to expect or tell me the do’s and don’t of prom and please like.

Palestine wins UNESCO seat

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/envoy/palestine-wins-unesco-seat-143002573.html

Palestine won full admission into UNESCO, the United Nations science, education and cultural heritage organization, in a closely watched vote in Paris Monday. Global diplomacy hands view the 107-14 vote as a benchmark carrying larger implications for the Palestinians’ bid for state recognition before the UN Security Council. Both the United States and Israel have strongly opposed both initiatives.

The United States, Israel, Canada, Germany, Sweden and Australia were among the 14 nations voting against the Palestinians’ UNESCO bid, while 107 countries–including France, Spain, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, India, Russia, China, South Africa and Indonesia–voted in favor. Fourteen nations–including the United Kingdom and Italy–abstained.

Washington, which called the UNESCO vote “premature” Monday, has threatened to cut off funding to UNESCO if Palestine is granted membership. The United States currently accounts for about one-fifth of the organization’s budget.

Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also rejected the UNESCO vote, and warned it would set back peace process.

“This is a unilateral Palestinian maneuver which will bring no change on the ground but further removes the possibility for a peace agreement,” the Israeli ministry said in a statement.¬† “This decision will not turn the Palestinian Authority into an actual state yet places unnecessary burdens on the route to renewing negotiations.”

Palestine’s successful UNESCO bid comes as Middle East Quartet envoy Tony Blair is due to meet with U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House Monday.

Blair has been trying to advance the Quartet’s efforts to get the Israelis and Palestinians back to the negotiating table, asking each side to lay out their specific terms for resolving the issues of borders and security for a two-state solution. Meanwhile, Israeli officials have been depicting Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas as an unworthy peace partner.

Abbas, in turn, has recently reiterated his periodic threat to dissolve the Palestinian Authority–a move that if carried out would presumably give Israel the burden of administering, funding, and coordinating security for the West Bank’s Palestinian population.

SENIORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone. What’s up? Things here are going get. This week we had the senior auction. Most of the money that was earn went to Mrs. Hardman’s family. Then on Friday there was a pep rally. It was a little bitter-sweet¬†because that was the last pep rally I will be attending in high school. ūüė¶ Yesterday, I had to take the ACT. So anyways, this week we have the senior slide show. We were supposed to have it Friday but it was moved to this coming up Friday because it wasn’t¬† finished. I’m so going to miss high school after I graduate.(well some stuff I’ll miss anyway) I’m still looking for ideas for blogs so when I come up with some I’ll be sure to post them and let me know what ya’ll think. Later!

My last first nine weeks

Hey! What’s up? The first nine week are almost over. This week we are having nine weeks exams. The good thing about having five classes you don’t have to worry about taking some many tests. The down side is my schedule was a little¬†messed up. (not much though) My teacher is planning to take a group of students to London and Paris. I’m no sure if I’ll be going on that.(I’ll be sure to let ya’ll know if I’ll be going or not). Other than all that there’s nothing much is going on here. In other news, I’m thinking about writing more poetry. So, be looking for that. I’m also looking for ideas for more blog posts so if you have any ideas please leave a comment and I’ll see what I can do. Later!

seniors!!!!!!

hey! Sup!?! So anyway it’s been a couple of weeks since school has started and I’m already asking myself where has time gone.¬† I was looking¬†at some of my baby pictures and it got me to wondering “Has it been that long?” It’s almost to scary to think that in just a matter of mouths I’ll be a high school grad. It still feels weird being a senior. Hmmmmmm……………………………I hope i get used to it before the year ends and I’ll be posting more blogs a long the way. Later guys!

The first full week

Hey everybody! The first full week of school has come to end. My classes are going pretty well¬†for the most part. (even though I’m not¬†real sure about my credits) I’m thinking about taking the ACT again to see if I make any higher on it then I did the last time. Nothing too much¬†has happened this week unfortunately, but I have two tests next week. Taking Jesus Back to School is coming up in¬†a few weeks and I’m hoping to do a couple posts about that. By the way i revieved a suggestion for someone who read one of my previous blogs that I should turn my senior year into a story and tell it that way. (well she said put it in a third-person format) So I’m going to give that a try. So Jeyna Grace if you read this thank you for the suggestion I’m going to try it out. So ya’ll please be looking for that and my peoms if I ever do write any. lol ūüôā See ya’ll later!
