So it’s kindof late post

Well, Friday was graduation.  It started off like any other day. I did what I normally did just stayed around the house and went to town to do a couple of things. Then around six the evening I left for the high school. Graduation went faster than I expect. I thought it was going to take a while, but it didn’t. After graduation me, Alexis, Allison, Steven, and Daniel left for the Waffle House. We had an awesome time. But it was a bittersweet moment for me. Because I know that next year I wont be coming back to Grenada High School and see all my friends who didn’t graduate this year. I know I should be happy and I am but it’s kind of sad. But,  there are things I’m looking forward to. I’ll be starting college in the fall and I’m going on mission fuge again this year.(which I’ll blog about) So yea be expecting that and please like my post and leave a comment below. Later!

the school year is almost over

Hey everyone! So it’s almost that time of the year again. The end of the school year. It’s a relief that it’s about to end, but bittersweet in away.  Mostly because this is my last year of high school and the fact that I really didn’t much during my four years of high school. I know that many of you will think that it’s weird for me to say that, but it’s the truth. I know I should be happy and everything, but a part of me feels kindof sad to be leaving.  I have many wonderful memories that I know I’ll remember for the rest of my life, and I’vwe made many friends that I’ll miss.(most of them are underclassmen). But, I know that everything will be ok. I start college in August with a couple of friends and I know that’ll be fun. I’ll keep ya’ll post on more senior stuff and I’ll possible do a series on college life. Later!

updates, updates, and more updates

So here’s another installment to my senior year serious. Ok, seeing how prom is over and done with it’s now time to move on to other things such as graduation. There’s a lot to tell so let’s get started.  We first have finals on May 9-11 so for some seniors(those who are doing less than stellar already) have to pass. We’re taking our exams earlier than the underclassmen because the very next week we start graduation practice. We will our last report card on May 15th to find out if we get to graduate.  We’ll have practice everyday up until May 18, which is the day of graduation. But before all that for those seniors who attend church with me have Graduate Sunday next Sunday. We have to be in Sunday school if we plan on attending, and after church serves that day we have a luncheon to attend. We don’t have to attend that but I think mist everyone is going to attend that. (I may do a separate blog about that) But, back to graduation. We get our cap and gown on May 17. We may have another practice that day but I’m not sure yet. After graduation we have to go to the lunch room to pick up our diploma and return our cap and gown. Well that’s what’s going on here over the next several weeks. I hope to do more blogs soon before I official graduate. So be look for that and I hope I’ll get to see you soon. Later!

writing on the wall

Now we’ve all seen writing on bathroom walls before. Normally they’re nothing but people bashing other people for whatever reason they  may have, but today I was looking at what someone had put on the bathroom wall awhile ago. And it read ” John 3:16, Jesus loves you always. You better believe it.” When I first saw this I was really glad that somebody had put something other than hateful words, but over time I began to realize that whoever wrote this had the courage to actual write this where everyone can see this. Not only because they’ll get in trouble for writing on the walls but for not caring if they offend anyone. I see Bible verse and saying almost every time I go to the restroom at school and what amazes me is that even though that someone tried to wash it off it’s still there. God obviously wants us to know this.  So the next time I see something positive on the restroom walls I’ll stop and take a look. Laters.

“For God so loved the world that he sent his own son for whoever believes in  him shall not die but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Prom

So, anyways it’s been awhile since I’ve done a blog like this.(There’s really nothing much going on in my senior year) 😦 But here’s one of the few things is going on (or about to anyway) lol So, prom’s coming up and I’m excited! This is the first formal thing I’ll get to do. Even though is not til next month I’m already getting nervous. Because I’m really not sure what to expect I mean yes I’ll see the same people I see everyday all dress up, but other than that I don’t know what to expect. But, I know both me and my date will have an awesome time and I’ll get great pictures for my scrapbook.  And I’ll blog about how prom was.(seeing how I really didn’t do many senior year blogs) I’ll see ya’ll then. Later!

School board adopts sex ed policy

The Grenada School Board has decided to adopt an “abstinence only” form of sex education to be compliant with a new state law.
According to Lynne Russell, director of community services, school districts across the state are required to teach sex education at all levels under a new law signed last year by former Gov. Haley Barbour.
“We have always taught an abstinence program, and our current program is in compliance with the new state regulation,” Russell said during Tuesday’s meeting.
The current program will be expanded to include all grades. Before, it was just taught at the middle school and high school, according to Russell.
“The program will teach abstinence, but it will be at an appropriate level of understanding for each grade,” Russell said.
Under the new law, the decision was left up to each school board as to teaching abstinence-only education, which teaches that abstaining from sex is the best way, or a comprehensive class called abstinence-plus.
In the comprehensive setting, the student would learn that abstinence was the best way, but would be taught safe sex practices, about birth control and the different sexually-transmitted diseases.
The board unanimously approved the program with a motion by District Two Board Member Dr. David Braswell, seconded by District Three Board Member Arlene Conley.

Other business

The board entered into executive session with a motion by Braswell, seconded by Hughes, to discuss potential litigation and personnel issues.
According to Daigneault, no official action was taken, and he could not discuss specific details of the executive session.
This is at least the first known executive session the school board has entered into that excluded the taxpaying public.
All board members were present including District Five Board Member Keith Watson.

Senior Prom

So, anyways prom is coming up in April. This is the first dance I’ll be going to and I’m little nervous. I just don’t know what to expect. I just hope that I don’t trip and fall on my face on the dance floor and that the movie Carrie is after all a movie. lol So, it’s your turn tell me what to expect or tell me the do’s and don’t of prom and please like.

Laters!

computers

Computers. They are what we rely on everyday. We can comment with friends and family on them, we can conduct business on them, and so much more. What do we do when something happens when the one computer we rely on the most isn’t working and we don’t have a way to get it fix. Today when I got home from school I found that my computer was down once again.(I’m using a computer the library). I really don’t want to call the people up at Dell and I don’t have the money to go to the computer doctor. So, what should I do? I don’t know if it’s the weather causing this,(we’re having bad weather), or what. What should I do about this problem? Any ideas?
