it’s been to long

Hey people! It’s been too long since I’ve actually done a blog so I thought I would feel ya’ll in to what’s going on in Aprilslife. College has started. It’s been pretty busy with helping Steven apply for college and the actives we’re involved in. This year I’m involved in SGA (student government). That has been fun! 🙂 I’ve never been involved in SGA before so this is all new to me, but so far it has been great. I’ve gotten involved with Wesley this year. I involved in Wesley last year but not as well as I should have been. Sadly, I can’t attended BSU (Baptist Student Union) due to classes. We, also, taken year book photos a few weeks back. Between classes, Wesley, and SGA things have been pretty crazy. But, it’s all good though. lol

Pippa Middleton Needs Prince Harry for Lovelorn Support

http://celebs.gather.com/viewArticle.action?articleId=281474980806909

Pippa Middleton has heard from Prince Harry since she broke up with Alex Loudon. Not surprising because the two have apparently become fast friends since both stole part of the show at the Royal Wedding. Sources say they regularly talk on the phone, reports Entertainment STV. So it would be very gentlemanly of Prince Harry to offer some firm, masculine support and consolation in Pippa’s lonely moments. If, of course, she needs such a thing.

Reports one unnamed source of Pippa Middleton: “Harry and Pippa have always had a close relationship and when he heard about the break-up he told her he’d be a shoulder to cry on if she needed it.” OK, that’s good to know.

The world’s royal-watchers and fans have been File:Pippa Middleton Prince Philip.jpgon the lookout for something to break—besides a casual brother-sister relationship—between Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton ever since a few sparks between them seemed to fly around the wedding and the endless chain of after-parties. But since then, not much.

Right now, the time is right, because both seem officially unattached. Of course, there is always George Percy, who once shared an apartment with Pippa and has family access to that famous “Hogwarts” castle. And always Chelsy Davy, in Harry’s background.

Meanwhile, friends say Pippa Middleton is doing just fine, with or without Prince Harry’s shoulder. She was recently spotted ice skating with a blond friend. Was that George? Sounds as if Pippa is ok.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2061818/Pippa-Middleton-split-Newly-single-Pippa-takes-weekend-break-George-Percy.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

Perhaps she just wanted to take her mind off
her split from long-term boyfriend Alex Loudon.

For just days after her newly-single status
first leaked out, Pippa Middleton was enjoying a weekend-long shoot at the
stately pile of her close friend, George Percy, the Mail Online
understands.

Accompanied by a small group of friends, the
Duchess of Cambridge’s vivacious younger sister spent three days taking
pot-shots at grouse on his family estate in the Borders.

George – or to give him his proper title, Earl
Percy, son of the 12th Duke of Northumberland – also invited Pippa, 27, to join
his family at a Remembrance Sunday service held at Roman Catholic St Paul’s
Church in the nearby village of Alnwick.

She took a place in the front pew along with
his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland, and grandmother, Dowager
Duchess of Northumberland, Duchess Elizabeth.

George, 27, sat in the row
behind.

The Rev David Archer, who led the service,
admitted he had noticed a rather ‘attractive’ lady in the front row but had no
idea it was the future king’s sister-in-law.

I had noticed an attractive lady in the front
row, but I did not realise it was her. She did look like Pippa Middleton,’ he
said.

St Paul’s new priest, Father Phil Carroll, had
welcomed the group into the church but also failed to notice Pippa and remarked:
‘That shows how much we know about what is going on.’

But an unnamed worshipper said: ‘It caused a
bit of a stir in the church.’

According to friends, George was one of the
few men who made Pippa’s beau a little green around the gills.

Royal sources say that while Pippa’s
friendship with the heir to one of the richest and grandest dukedoms in the land
wasn’t the reason for their split, Alex never felt entirely comfortable with the
closeness of their relationship.

The pair have been confidantes since they
shared a flat at Edinburgh University along with Ted Innes Ker, son of the Duke
of Roxburghe.

Over the summer the couple were seen at
endless social events, including the Queen’s Club championships.

The night before the tennis Pippa and George
were also seen enjoying a three-hour dinner together in a French restaurant near
Sloane Square before returning to his London flat where she was eventually seen
leaving at 2am. Bizarrely, George shares a flat with another of Pippa’s ex’s, JJ
Jardine-Paterson.

There was also a long weekend in Madrid with a
gaggle of girlfriends shortly after the royal wedding in May, where the affable
aristocrat was seen squiring Pippa out to several of the city’s hottest
nightspots as rowing her around a boating lake.

Old Etonian Alex, a contemporary of Prince
William at the upper-crust school, is no slacker in the family
stakes.

His father, James, is a successful financier
and former High Sheriff of Kent while his grandfather, Francis, married Lady
Prudence Jellicoe, daughter of Admiral Sir John Henry Rushworth Jellicoe, who
commanded the Royal Navy’s Grand Fleet at the Battle of Jutland in the First
World War and became the second Governor-General of New Zealand.

Olantigh, his family’s Kent estate, is an
eminently respectable country retreat with more than 20 acres of
farmland.

But it cannot even begin to compare with the
Northumberland’s Alnwick Castle, which features as Hogwarts in the Harry Potter
films.

The castle is known as as the ‘Windsor of the
North’ and George’s family are regarded locally in Border country as royalty.

The family’s wealth is conservatively put at
around £300million and includes more than 100,000 acres of land as well as an
estate in Surrey and Syon Park in London.

A bright, well-mannered and well-meaning young
man, George, who studied geography at university specialising in renewable
energy, also recently set up in business and is poised to drill the first
commercial geothermal well in Country Durham.

His parents, Ralph, the 12th Duke of
Northumberland, and gardening-obsessive mother Jane are sensible sorts and
withheld the bulk of his inheritance to prevent him going off the
rails.

The couple are on ‘kissing terms’ with most
members of the royal family (including the Queen) and they and their four
children were all invited to prince William’s April wedding.

For her part Pippa was said to be ‘supremely
at home’ when she attended the wedding of their eldest, daughter, Lady Katie at
Alnwick In February.
Little wonder that
Alex found Pippa’s association with the family a little ‘claustrophobic’,
according to one well-placed source.

Last week The Sun reported they had finally
spilt after 18 months together – just weeks after Pippa was given the keys to
Alex’s Fulham home..

According to the newspaper, Pippa and Alex, a
former professional cricketer who works as a financial analyst at brewing giant
SAB Miller in Woking, are now ‘barely speaking’.

‘She and Alex split briefly in the summer –
but this time it’s over,’ a source said.

The paper claimed that Alex, who is intensely
private, felt uncomfortable with Pippa’s new found celebrity.

Friends have always expressed surprise at the
relationship – ‘Alex is very nice and steady and all that but he’s just, well, a
bit boring – particularly compared to Pippa who is hugely outgoing,’ one told
the Mail only last month.

Friends say her next beau would need to be
‘seriously sporty and well off’. ‘And it wouldn’t hurt for them to have even a
moderately respectable country pile,’ said one.

Perhaps the Middletons might yet boast double
duchesses in the family

http://www.digitalspy.com/celebrity/news/a350638/pippa-middleton-dumped-for-not-being-marriage-material.html

Pippa Middleton was dumped by her boyfriend Alex Loudon because his family didn’t consider her to be “wife material”, sources have claimed.

The younger sister of Kate Middleton split with the cricketer this week after an 18-month relationship. Press reports claim that Loudon struggled to cope with her rising status as a sex symbol.

Speaking to The Mail On Sunday, a friend of Pippa claimed that Loudon’s affluent parents have never been comfortable with the 28-year-old’s “socially ambitious” side.

“Alex’s parents were welcoming but they were always somewhat lukewarm about the relationship. They didn’t see Pippa as ‘wife material’.

“Pippa is very sweet but she is socially ambitious – all her friends are so ‘trophy posh’ it’s ridiculous. They didn’t honestly see Alex and Pippa’s relationship as a long-term thing.

“[Alex’s parents] are very old-fashioned and prefer to keep things low-key. They do not go out of their way to court attention for themselves and they tend to shy away from the media. They’re a very “proper” family.”

Another insider revealed that the couple, who briefly split in the summer, have been “up and down” since Pippa’s headline-grabbing appearance at the royal wedding in April.

“Alex couldn’t cope with the star that Pippa had become,” they said. “It’s sad really because Alex and Pippa get along very well, but they are also very different personalities.

“It has been up and down for a while. It was Alex who called the parting shot and said it was over once and for all last week.”

Sporty, eligible bachelors at the ready: the
lovely Pippa Middleton is reported to be back on the market.

She is unlikely to remain there for long. The
Duchess of Cambridge’s foxy little sister was the world’s most sought after
woman even when she had a boyfriend.

Singer Justin Timberlake, who has dated
Hollywood stars such as Cameron Diaz, admits to drooling over her.

‘We American males love Pippa… I’m going to
sound like a sleazeball!’ he told Esquire magazine. Websites and blogs, some
with unprintable names, are dedicated to her outfits, pert figure and spirited
exercise regime. And just to raise temperatures even further, newspaper reports
suggest she has split from her boyfriend, the handsome, square-jawed,
cricket-loving Alex Loudon, ‘after a blazing row at a wedding’.

Pippa is reported to have walked out on the
31-year-old Old Etonian after a string of rows. Now they are ‘barely
speaking’.

Friends of the couple have confirmed to the
Mail that they did, indeed, have a ‘blazing and very public’ argument at the
wedding of Pippa’s old Edinburgh University friend Humphrey Bowles in Whitby,
North Yorkshire, in September.

‘Pippa had been on the dancefloor without Alex
all night and he didn’t appear happy. They could clearly be heard arguing hammer
and tongs,’ says a source.

However, members of Pippa’s social circle
emphasised last night that the split must be very recent because most of them
were unaware of it.

And it may yet be that there is  a
reconciliation (perhaps over  the socially complex Christmas holidays). But the
feeling among their set seems to be that there is no long-term future for the
pair.

Oh dear. Not so long ago, Loudon was said to
be on the brink of proposing and hunting for an engagement ring on the sly.

William and Kate and the Middleton parents
were known to approve of the solid, good-natured financier, and all was looking
rosy for the nearly-weds.

Pippa had been presented with keys to his flat
in Parsons Green, South-West London, where she spent many nights away from her
own pad in Chelsea. And she was a regular guest at his parents’ beautiful Kent
pile.

In September, Pippa turned 28 and celebrated
her birthday at a low-key Italian restaurant with just Alex and the Cambridges.
She is just the right age, you might think, to accept a proposal. So, what went
wrong?

It seems that Alex — who comes from the sort
of English gentry family who try to avoid being in the papers apart from their
births, marriages and deaths — struggled with Pippa’s sudden and unexpected
fame.

Apart from a brush with publicity thanks to a
brief stint with the England cricket team, Alex was content to live the
privileged and anonymous life of the upper classes.

But, last April, his girlfriend went from
being a pretty Berkshire Sloane to Her Royal Hotness, her silk-clad derriere
admired by billions around the world.

And not for the first time in the history of
love, the relationship couldn’t take the change in status.

There was a brief split in June (later denied)
when Pippa was much photographed on mini-breaks with her good friend George
Percy, the future Duke of Northumberland.

But tantalising though it was to speculate on
the Middleton parents having ‘double duchess’ daughters, Pippa soon got back
together with Alex and it looked as if marriage might be on the cards.

But after the reunion, whenever they were
photographed together, Loudon looked excruciatingly uncomfortable in the
spotlight. Unlike Pippa or, for that matter, Percy. Pippa and Alex are firmly in
the ‘wedding zone’ — that time between the ages of 28 and 32 when public school
and university-educated types must spend most of their  weekends at a wedding,
hen or stag night.

Typically, among this flurry of fascinators
and champagne-fuelled flirtation, the question of marriage tends to be thrust to
the forefront of a couple’s minds as they turn

The relentless recitals of those wedding
standards Sonnet 116  (‘Let me not to the marriage of true minds . . .’) and 1
Corinthians (‘Love is patient, love is kind . . .’) took their toll on Pippa and
Alex.

They had that huge row (topic unrecorded) at
the Whitby wedding. Could the subtext have been that Alex was keen on marriage,
but Pippa wasn’t so sure?

You can see the emotional dynamic in those
perky pictures of Pippa a couple of weeks ago in her low-cut red dress being
raised aloft by children’s party entertainer Charlie ‘Sharky’ Astor at the
Boodles Boxing Ball in London.

A man already feeling uncomfortable about his
girlfriend’s globally publicised desirability could be forgiven for feeling
irritated by those photos. Another well-bred, tall Old Etonian lifting her up so
enthusiastically? A lesser man than Loudon might have been tempted to reward
‘Sharky’ with a shiner.

bliss in Anglesey and Kensington — they are
hardly out every night — and Prince Harry is flying helicopters and drinking in
Arizona, Pippa has become absolutely ‘it’ among the social set who congregate
around the young royals.

‘In any given night in Chelsea, you’ll find
Pippa having dinner with socialites Astrid Harbord, Arabella Musgrave or other
girls from that royal inner circle,’ says one member of that scene.

After that revealing red dress, Pippa wore a
more covered up (though still tight-fitting and fetching) frock to her last big
public outing, the Too Many Women charity event at Petersham Nurseries near
Richmond upon Thames.

There, Pippa danced with her friend Katie
Readman (who works for the Issa design label favoured by Kate) and sat next to
Carphone Warehouse founder David Ross, who has a long-term girlfriend and knows
the Middletons from holidays on Mustique.

So Pippa is socially feverish — but what next?

Though she still juggles working for her
parents’ Party Pieces company with her job at Table Talk, the London caterers,
there were recent rumours of a book deal for Pippa to write a party planning
guide.

How To Get My Figure might have sold more, but
you can see that a Party Pieces tie-in publication is a safer prospect and has
logic to it.

We can expect lots of jolly imaginative
suggestions about how to turn your kitchen into a faux rainforest with just a
few banana cupcakes. She can, of course, expect a huge advance.

As for men, if she does embark on 2012 as a
single girl, she is likely to want to follow her sister’s example and not leave
marriage too late.

Timberlake, Daniel Radcliffe, singer Joe Jonas
of the Jonas Brothers and others who have expressed their admiration publicly
can dream on — Pippa will probably choose her future husband from a small, safe,
inner circle of courtiers.

Suitors must be well-connected, rich,
anti-drugs, Conservative- leaning, keen on the country, but be presentable in
Chelsea.

Blue blood combined with an entrepreneurial
streak — something that is fashionable and Middleton-style — would be good, as
would a love of sports, particularly tennis, skiing and triathalon.

A past involving university pranks and
high-jinks — wrapping yourself in loo roll and downing vodka from the bottle,
for example — is fine, but any kind of brush with the law involving illegal
substances is not.

It would be easier for everyone concerned if
the suitor was from the royal court, because having a future king as
brother-in-law will be a daunting option for many.

The last time Alex Loudon vanished, George
Percy bravely stepped up to the role of Her Hotness’s escort.

The future Duke of Northumberland — Pippa’s
flatmate at Edinburgh University and now an energy entrepreneur — eagerly rowed
the brunette from Bucklebury around a lake in Madrid and took her to the tennis
at Queen’s Club in London.

It is said by their friends that the chemistry
isn’t there, but that could be a cover story.

Her other Edinburgh flatmate, Lord ‘Ted’
Innes-Ker, a golfer and duke’s son, is promisingly single.

Otherwise there is William’s friend Thomas Van
Straubenzee, who works for a smart estate agent, or the handsome, smiley William
Van Cutsem, a chartered surveyor and property entrepreneur, whose father is an
old friend of Prince Charles.

Then, of course, there is the Boodles Ball
chap who danced with her, Charlie ‘Sharky’ Astor, who is half of children’s
entertainers Sharky and George. That might not be a lifelong career choice, but
for a girl who is rumoured to be about to get a million-pound advance for
writing about children’s parties, it could be helpful. And he is an
Astor.

Racier options include banking heir James
Rothschild — though he is seeing Paris Hilton’s sister Nicky — and Arthur
Landon, heir to the ‘White Sultan’, the British military commander who once
arranged a coup in Oman.

Arthur has a £200  million fortune and royal
connections, but he, too, has a girlfriend.

Other men who would be suitable but are
currently taken include Richard Branson’s handsome son Sam and brewing heir
James Tollemache.

Should their relationships not lead to
marriage, they could be good options for Pippa. ‘I know some people who will
make themselves single for Pippa,’ says one girl.

Whatever her choice, for now the
Chelsea/Clarence House royal set will be rallying around, inviting her for
supper and consoling her with masses of attention.

Well-meaning Alex Loudon will carry on carving
out his quiet  City career and Pippa will enjoy her blossoming social life and
try  to work out how to enjoy her burgeoning fame without being accused of
crassness.

After all, she is inundated by freebies from
everyone from fashion houses to leading sporting events. Of course, she has to
be careful about what she accepts, but as that possible book deal shows, the
winnings will be there for her.

And at some point — if it is not to be Alex
Loudon — a husband will be, too

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/celebritology/post/prince-harry-confirms-he-is-not-dating-pippa-middleton/2011/06/27/AGpH3wnH_blog.html

Prince Harry is a single man. And what’s more, he is not dating sister-in-law Pippa Middleton.

We all know this for a fact now because Harry http:/www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2008197/Theres-Pippa-Middleton-fling-says-100-cent-single-Prince-Harry-Royal-family.html#ixzz1QVfFwBiO” target=”_blank”>was quoted as saying so in the Daily Mirror.

“Pippa? Ha! No, I am not seeing anyone at the moment,” he reportedly said backstage Friday while attending a Killers concert in London. “I’m 100 percent single.”

Did Prince Harry really say “Ha!” — and a “Ha” worthy of an exclamation point at that? In any case, this is enough of a legitimate denial for the story to now be circulating as proof that: a. the bachelor prince is absolutely, definitely no longer with former girlfriend Chelsea Davy, and b. the Harry/Pippa connection is a no-go. Which is a shame because I thought there was potential there. After all, the Daily Mail told me so five days ago when it asked in a headline whether the “close friends” were “on the verge of becoming an item.”

Oh well. At least this clears the way for Pippa Middleton to consider dating George Clooney, as previously suggested here in Celebritology.

To (allegedly) quote Prince Harry: “Ha!”

Pippa Middleton Wears White

http://omg.yahoo.com/blogs/a-line/pippa-middleton-wears-white/819

Etiquette experts consider it bad formfor anyone but the bride to wear white on the wedding day. Not the Middletons. Kate’s sister Pippa wore a white maid of honor dress on the world’s biggest stage.

[Photos: See more of Pippa’s dress]
Like Kate’s wedding dress, Pippa’s gown was designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. The gown featured short sleeves, a low-cut neckline, and was form-fitting. Immediately following Pippa’s appearance at Westminster Abbey, web searches soared.

A blog from the “Today” show explains that a white dress for non-brides isn’t as rare as it used to be. Bridal designer Reem Acra told TODAY.com: “I like the idea that (Kate’s) sister is wearing white… It makes the whole thing more thematic and looks clean and modern.”

Tom Mora, J.Crew’s vice-president for bridal wear, told TODAY.com that “there is something quite beautiful about it… there’s a purity about her sister wearing white.”

Pippa’s dress had the same button detail and lace trim as Kate’s wedding gown, according to PopSugar. In addition to looking beautiful, Pippa also did an excellent job with the young bridesmaids and took good care of her sister’s train.

Below, some other buzzy moments to remember…

Kate remembers William’s name
The curse is broken! Kate remembered William’s full name! It might sound like a small victory, but it’s far from it. William’s full name is quite a mouthful. For the record, he is William Arthur Philip Louis. Imagine trying to remember that with two billion people watching.

The bride also wore white. Chris Jackson/Getty Images In royal weddings past, Princess Diana and Princess Sarah Ferguson messed up when asked to recite their groom’s full name. According to Dickie Arbiter, former press secretary to the queen, Diana mixed up the order of Charles’s names. Diana had a pretty good excuse: Charles’s full name is Charles Philip Arthur George. Same deal with Fergie; she accidentally repeated Prince Andrew’s middle name.

Not so with Kate. She nailed William’s full name. A good omen if ever there was one.

Kate Middleton‘s delicate figure
Kate Middleton caught the experts’ eyes for her dress as well as her slender physique. Barbara Walters began buzzing after she saw Middleton exit. “She’s very slim. Look at that waist!”

James Middleton: expert reader
Kate Middleton‘s brother, James, gave a reading at the royal wedding, and though he would have had every excuse to be nervous or fumble over a phrase, the 24-year-old nailed the passages from Romans 12:1,2, 9-18. Pausing at the right times, never mispronouncing a word, and never losing his place, James was perfect with his high-profile task.

Michael Middleton’s butter fingers
The father of the bride did a wonderful job of walking with his beautiful daughter down the aisle and standing at attention at the front of the church. He did make one small mistake, though. Right when he arrived at Westminster Abbey, he dropped his hat. Oops. It was all aces from there. No harm, no foul.

Middleton family gets coat of arms

http://royalwedding.yahoo.com/blogs/middleton-family-gets-coat-of-arms-5416

As far as wedding traditions go, we’ve all heard of something old, something new. Just in time for the royal wedding, princess-to-be Kate Middleton got herself something old and new: a coat of arms for the Middleton family.

The tradition dates back to the 12th century, when the emblems were worn over armor in battle and in tournaments so that opponents could identify each other, according to Thomas Woodcock, the Garter Principal King of Arms. The title is a grand one, established in 1415 by King Henry V on the way to the Battle of Agincourt, according to the BBC.

Woodcock said that the coat of arms has a long and proud tradition in England: “Heraldry is Europe’s oldest, most visual and strictly regulated form of identity.”

[ Related: The Middleton family’s black sheep uncle ]

The Middleton family worked with the College of Arms on the design, which is new. The best part–there is also something blue: Kate Middleton’s coat of arms hangs from a blue ribbon, symbolizing she is unmarried — at least for the next 10 days.

Each element represents something reflective of the family: the acorns are for the family’s favorite tree, the oak. The gold chevron is for Carole Middleton’s family name, Goldsmith. The thinner chevrons represent the family’s love for outdoor activities, according to the palace.

Follow Shine on Facebook for the latest royal wedding updates and enter to win a vacation for two.

Woodcock admits that many more people qualify for a coat of arms than is probably realized (profession and academic degrees often make you eligible). But It’s not widely publicized, since “If we were to advertise too much it would debase our own currency.”

The coat of arms will be passed down by Kate’s brother James to his descendents.
